Arevalo Counseling & Mentoring, LLC was founded in 2016 by Marvin and Souneh Arevalo. Our mission is to guide and support our clients on their journey towards unlocking and achieving their greatest potential. Through personalized and compassionate services, we are dedicated to fostering self-discovery, resilience, and positive change. Providing a safe and nurturing environment where you can explore your inner strengths, overcome challenges, and cultivate the skills needed to live a fulfilling life.
Marvin Arevalo holds a Masters of Psychology degree and has more than 15 years of experience working with at risk, underserved and underrepresented youth and family members. He is bilingual Spanish speaking and has provided therapeutic and case management services to individuals and families. Marvin is involved with advocacy, youth outreach and mentoring. He has worked with Juvenile Justice and probation department for many years in California, as well as in Nevada. Marvin has provided guest and assisting teaching in various academic settings, including right here in town at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Souneh Arevalo is a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Florida. She is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). She has worked at various levels of care including community clinics for those struggling with severe and persistent mental illness, youth residential/group home, mobile crisis unit, and youth intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization programs. Souneh specializes as a Clinical Anxiety Treatment Specialist, Certified Grief Counseling Specialist, and has extensive training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. In addition to client services, Souneh has provided community trainings, program development, and is a Clinical Supervisor for MFT/CPC interns in Nevada. Souneh is trilingual in English, Spanish, and Armenian.
